Just installed a remanufactured Autozone PowerMaster and now I get a Hissing noise coming from the brake pedal area after I apply the brakes. It gradually goes away while I hold it down... What could be the cause of this? Is the unit leaking vaccum somewhere? Anyone else had this problem? Other than this the brakes feel fine, better then ever... At least for now????????

THANKS

:confused::confused: :confused: :confused:

Had the same problem, only in about a week the pedal went completely away and now I have no brakes. I am putting in a replcement unit this week and we'll see what happens.

There is a vacuum hose going to the pedal? Where is that to/from?

Where is this Cruise Control CutOut Switch and what can I look for? How can I track it down? Can it be plugged off under the hood? My cruise only works occasionaly anyway. Any more details would be greatly appreciated, Thanks...

You can't miss it.

Big a$$ 3/8" or so vacuum line going into a plastic switch that mounts into a bracket and has a plunger that hits the brake pedal arm.

Take a good listen down there with the plastic shield off.
