It is amazing how much publicity this story is getting.... Yes it took huge balls to do it... but I am not all that impressed. Gravity did all the work, he just happened to be along for the ride. On the other hand, some of the pictures are awesome.

He had some work to do. He had some pretty bad spins to overcome. This clip talks a lot about it and is entertaining.

Yep I'll give it to him, I jump at least every other month for the army. that's pretty cool

That guy that did it in 1960 before there was any testing/research is the long-forgotten badass. This guy basically copied him 50 years later....

he "copied" him by going a few miles higher and going a lot faster.
the guy that did it in 1960 was the only voice in his ear during this drop- and he thinks this is a pretty damn impressive thing..

It's not nearly as impressive but to each his own. It's like if someone landed on the moon again but they stayed an extra day this time.

i suppose you think the suborbital flights being done by Virgin Galactic are unimpressive because NASA sent people to the moon in the late 60's..

I'm shocked that the capsule even made it off the ground. Lifting his giant cast iron balls can't be easy.

What would have happened if he passed out? Was there a back up plan for the chute?

My 16 year old daughter and I watched this live....about the only thing we've watched together on TV without one of us feeling like we're suffering through it. Except (like a typical woman) my daughter kept asking me questions the whole time I'm trying to watch it.....I think it's in their DNA!!!

The way I see it this Felix guy had some serious balls but Joseph Kittinger's balls were bigger! Kittinger did it when it was an unknown and his pressure suit failed causing his hand to swell up really bad. Either way they both have a bigger pair than me. No way, no how, are you going to get me to ever jump out of a plane that is going to land safely. I wouldn't have gotten in the balloon capsule either. The guys at work have been trying to get me to go skydiving with them for six years. Not gonna happen!!!!
