My suggestion is to buy a new Racetronix assembly. They use a an improved hanger assembly and most importantly are a supporting vendor of this site. From what i recall the price was very reasonable too.

2 the Red's sized on Racetronix mount would be Great! but they don't fit in the fuel-tank hole on the top.
Other options One intank an one Auxilery on the frame rail...
it'll all depend on your goals an HP rating, both you mentioned above have limits

Enjoy!

Wrong. If the pumps are set up on the hanger correctly they go right in. Ive installed over 20 of these in cars over the last 17 years.

I like the suggestions. I've purchased items from both vendors in the past. The Racetronix does look nice, however, it's pricier (by $40 - $50) and uses other pumps than 340's. I'm looking to see which flows better. I'm not sure if Red uses a modified 340 pump. If I'm going to pay the extra $$, I'd like to know that it's validated. My goals are to max out my combo, which should be low tens. I need a hanger and pump because mine are shot. This is the 2nd pump I've been thru. I want to buy a double because a single pump isn't going to cut it. My max alt. output is 14.4 volts and to get anything higher would mean having to purchase a bigger alt.

The Racetronics Sending units look really nice and have a better bulkhead and ground.

volt booster for increased voltage on everything or a boost a pump. Voltage is king. I wouldnt be surprised one bit if a single 340@ 16.5v flows as much as a pair @13.5v through stock lines @75psi. The difference in high pressure volume with added voltage is tremendous. Why dont you call racetronix and get the flow data@ voltages you plan on running. Keep ion mind they will be a lot lower through stock lines. Theres a lot you can do to help the stock lines but no 2 cars are the same and one might get x amount of fuel in one car and you could take the same hanger and pumps and run them at the same voltage and get 10-15% less in another car. You need to assess it yourself. Increased voltage on known good pumps is the best start. Im sure you can buy the hanger and hardware without the pumps from racetronix and use whatever pumps you want.

I did see a picture of the Red's unit and the wiring looks beefier than Racetronix. I'm afraid that if I purchase a TT340, or a DW that it still won't be enough fuel. I do plan on getting rid of the 60 lber's for 80's, 95's, or even 120's. I do use a Red's voltbooster and 14.4 is max voltage with a 140 amp alt.

Phoneguy: how does your Red's DP perform for your combo? How does the wiring compare, gauge wise?

You can not compare the two. Red's does not come with any proper wiring solution. Our SS senders are far superior. Ours comes with a complete PnP harness. The GSS294M pumps we use have the same guts and flow spec as the GSS340(m). Red's pumps are VooDoo magic. Nothing more than some Walbro 255LPH pumps with the bypass valve modified. We adjust the bypass valves on the GSS294M pumps to open at above 100PSI vs the factory 70-80PSI. If you need more flow than what two 255LPH pumps can provide we can offer the Aeromotive 340LPH pumps as an option. We have posted much information in our faq post here:

All our DP systems are fully tested to meet spec before they are packed and shipped.

Our wiring harness is light years better than the solution Red provides!
Dual Aeromotive 340LPH pumps are good for over 1200FWHP using gas!

I purchased the Racetronix Dual Aeromotive pumps. It was an easy and neat install. I never have to worry about fuel pressure again. With my current set up, I don't think I will ever be more than 800 - 850 fly wheel HP (once it is finely tuned)...it is nice to know they are good to 1200 FWHP.

All this knocking Red's pumps and wiring??? You realize his set up has gone 8's@153 with stock fuel lines, right? And his pumps are better than a Walbro 340. Ask anybody who has tested them.

How can you say they are better than Walbros when they are Walbros! They perform better at higher pressure b/c he modifies/blocks the safety bypass valves. The pumps are factory crimped/sealed so there is nothing he can do to the internals of the pump to alter its factory performance. As we stated before the GSS294M pumps we use have a similar mod done to ensure the valves do not open prematurely at lower pressures.

Red's setup leaves most of the wiring up to the end user which is a big variable based on the customer's ability to properly make a harness. It adds cost to the system as well. Is Red still using those cheap pressure switches as well?
The bottom line is that our DP system is better in almost every aspect. If you sat them side-by-side this would be glaringly obvious.

HAHAHA. o_O Man i love this forum.

1. You won't max out either setup with your low 10 second goal on E85 so neither is a poor choice.
2. How fast has Red's DP been...Nuff said there.
3. Wiring on Red's will work fine and so will the Racetronix stuff. A lazy installer will ruin them both. Amprage draw is not really high on either as long as you have good grounds and solid connections.
4. Your volt booster is lazy, get another one. My caspers unit shows 15. 5 on the Scanmaster and its always a volt lower than the alt and FP
5. Low 10 second goal with a bunch of "Which one should I choose" threads will yeild the same results as smoking in a fireworks factory.....
work started, big booms all over the place, and nothing accomplished!

There is enough information on this site for you to make good decisions posted already. You should talk to, ask a of, or read about someone who has done what you are trying to do or very close to it and go from there. Gabby Rojas, Turbobuick86, Kevin B, TurboCliff, and some other dude that works on Amy's(Sound Performance Dyno Day) car....;) are names I would use in the goggle search along with turbobuick.com.

I started out in the late 80's with stock hot wired an Bocsh 80's 944Turbo Porsche aux external mounted to the frame,For stocker it's fine (up to 400hp)
Then went Red's Single XPR1 hot wired,It's what i currently run,no Issues,but use hotwire an voltbooster.(good to 800hp)
I'm now going to the Racetronix Duel 340's just for piece of mind....(good to over 1000hp)
I can't stand the some of the Aux' pumps ,All you hear is Fuel Pump...BBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Enjoy!
