Remove guage pointer?

Trying to remove the in dash guage pointers(needles) to take off some guage overlays that were put on by the previous owner of my new TTA.
Tried pulling them straight off but they don't seem to budge and don't want to break anything.
Any ideas on how they come off?

remember where they are pointing, and pull them straight off....

when i installed my MAC EUING overlays on my TTA, thats what i did to get the needles on and off, some needles dont have to be pulled off to remove the overlays....
