Restore Seat Frames and track?

I'm about to put some in carpet in, and as I look at the car, and others with new carpet, and can't help but notice how rust the seat frames look from the side view.

Has anyone taken there's apart, serviced/oiled it up, repainted and reinstalled after putting down the new carpet?

Any pics? I'm thinking flat black would like nice, shinny might look to spray painty look.

I flat blacked mine when i did the interior resto. Looks good. Also repainted the black plastic trim pieces that cover the tracks.

I did mine in silver. Looks fine to me. Better than rust :biggrin:

I took the metal bracing out of a dash and blasted back to bare metal and the applied clear rust guard.
