Ok, on my way to Gatlinburg for vacation, I noticed while I was passing :D a white van, I could see black smoke rolling out of the tail-pipe...Is this normal on a 3800SC motor???

No it not.

you should look into changing your spark plugs. also what milage is on this car?, And when was the last time you service the O2 sensor?.

Tuned up last fall with Bosch Platnum plugs, the O2 is probably factory...it has only 89K miles, and only had 69K when we bought it about a year and a half ago.
Do you guys run Bosch Platnum O2's???
It only smokes at WOT under boost...does the fuel pressure regulator increase pound for pound with boost as the Turbo Regals???
Could it be weak??

First, if you are running Platinum plugs get raid of them if your car is s/c.

I use a different type of O2 which let me run leaded gas sometime. I think alot of people will say go with the AC-Delco which is good but i also have very good results with the bosch O2.

Yes fuel pressure does go up when the engine is place under load (MAP). adding more pressure at the rail will not help ,cause the PCM control the injector ,which has a table maped out to keep the o2 sensor within speified range. The injector Pusle width can only be change by modifing the data from the MAf sensor to the PCM. Or the Fuel table have to be change inside the pcm. I don`t think your engine might be weak, cause i have seen 150,000+ mile on these motor with regular oil change (the life blood of an engine).

Which type of spark plug would you recommend? I have been running synthetic oil every since I have owned the car.
It seems to run rich only under WOT but I could not see it unless I had a white back ground behind me like a white van. Somedays it seems to run much stronger than others, cold and heat really do not seem to be a big factor, not sure what it is?

ac delco or autolite plugs

don't use bosch O2 sensors...they are worthless

Which 02 do you use?? AC/Delco?
I've had good luck with Bosh in my heavily modded Z and my Suburban...I've always heard that the Platnum material responded quicker to exhaust changes than the factory materials. I just wasn't sure about in a "boosted" engine.
