rusting master cylinder

I have a new cast iron 1984 turbo Regal master cylinder for my hydroboost. It is supposed to have a "coating" on it to prevent rusting, but it is already rusting after a week on the car. Any tips on protecting it on a show car? Or, is there a better master cylinder out there for the hydro?

The new ones always rust. Just paint it black. Mine still looks new.

I wish I would have thought of that before I installed it. I shouldn't have trusted the coating.

Nothing careful masking and a rattle can can't fix. Thanks for the tip. I used Krylon ceramic rust tough paint in semi flat.
