Here is my on the cheap setup for testing the psi. Other than drill and my time cutting down distributor (cut off wheel, hand saw, file and elbow grease) I have about $8 in the setup.
Old distributor cut down from a early 80's buick
Cheap autozone mechanical oil psi gauge comes with proper fittings. The gauge cost me $2ish since Autozone has a rewards program that if your spend 20 bucks five times you get 20 dollar credit. That goes quick so the gauges was just pocket change using the credit
And old reliable Dewalt 18 cordless drill (has 1/2 chuck) drill spun around 7-800 ish rpm
GM cover and filter adpater thats been ported (1/2")/blended and gasket matched throughout , Yellow spring (60 psi), Melling steel wear plate (port matched as well, stock length gears with typical mods, 1ow40.
