I purchased an 87 we4, the former owner had the trans done about a YR ago, and had a shift kit installed, wow is it firm!
it will bark the tires almost every time in the 1-2 shift, the 2-3, and 3-4 are also very harsh, I have had race cars that didn't shift that crisp!, the shifts are on time, not early or late!
My question is, this hurt anything? what can I do to mellow the shifts? I went thru the rear end,(bearings, Moser axles, seals, set the gears up on the tight end of the factory specs) new U-joints,
so the drive line should be up to the challenge.
just seeking input on longevity, and what to expect.
thanks
