the stock 2004r i put in my gn came out of a olds delta 88 what i want to know is the gear ratio for the olds was 240`s area and my gn is 343.would that make the gears shift realy fast and sloppy.can i put the govener out of the gn tranny to help shift better. i allready have adjusted the tv cable and it makes no difference on shift.thanks in advance:rolleyes:

The GN governor and the Delta 88 valve body are way incompatible.

You'd do better to modify the existing governor by removing weight via drilling or grinding. It is a PITA though with the governor hiding under the pan.

Depends on how high you want your shift points. You`re prolly gonna have to pull it 3-4- 5 times, trial and error start with drilling two 1/4 in. hole in the small weight, remove the spring from the heavy weight.
