If he really said that he is a more ignorant business man than I thought he was.

Let's be honest, he pretty much said it, without saying it by not posting over here on this site :(o_O:p.

In his defense, I would also go into "hiding" for a while if I was a businessman and got thrown into the slam for what he did. I imagine he doesnt have a PR person advising him how to handle the aftermath of the situation. It is just was not a good look for business, professionalism and brand. I who have been on both sides of the quality of service with G Body parts can say that overall I thought he was a pretty decent guy, although...... I thought the Nasty Wendy story was pretty sh!tty. Maybe his recent experiences will make him step up his game going forward to the point where we all go back to supporting the guy as we used to. Everyone makes mistakes such as (safecracking) ;), but it is all in how you re-brand yourself. But turning your back on the community and going to Facebook is probabaly not the best look for him right now that someone has discovered this. There will still be more to come and hopefully a positive outcome. We all as owners of these cars seem to find a lot of money and resources to throw at them so hopefully he can make everything good again.

Precizion818: So let me get this straight. You're accusing Brian of giving the ol' FU to the TR community because he hasn't posted here? Really? That doesn't sound very reasonable. Have you considered that maybe he has other things going on besides cars? Don't get me wrong, I love these stupid cars and even though I maintain a fleet of them, I often have to set them to the side in order to handle other things going on in my life.

Sounds like you're making assumptions without any facts. Speculation is not fact.

I have considered that he has other things going on, matter of fact I am sure his mind and attention is somewhere else right now. So I guess you would be corrct in saying that I dont know this for "fact". I dont know him or talk to him on the level that I would know what is on his mind right now.

I am not making assumption on anything, but simply stating a perception. What I am doing is stating what was presented here in this thread. I would agree with you, but it was stated that he is on Facebook presenting new parts. From my experience he usually will present these parts here also, but no one has seen this or mentioned it. If this is incorrect information, then I will take it all back. Based upon those statements ....... If I am preoccupied with "other things going on..." I would not be on either site presenting new parts. If I were to be in this situation, I would not give the impression on any level that I am avoiding any portion of my customers for whatever reason after my unfortunate incident. In addition to that, I am not saying that he is intentionally avoiding anyone, but I can say that from my perspective it could present itself in that manner. If the perception was not there, I do not believe this thread would have even been created. My $.02..........

Simply stating my opinion/perception.... hope I could clear that up for you!

I agree but instead of "Re-Branding" I would explain it more like this....

"Everyone in life makes mistakes or creates damage, but what defines a persons character is How they repair that damage" Always going the "It wasn't me" approach eventually gets very obvious..

Damn good point! I could not agree with you more

Personally, I feel this site is going downhill in a hurry. No offense to the good people and the friends I still have an love on here. But, with that said, there have been some pretty huge amounts nut hugging going on between moderators for years, drama from people that think they are "big dogs" but really aren't shit. The big dogs rarely post here because they don't care to anymore. It's unfortunate because years ago, this was a fun place to be, filled with good people. Ive only had a couple problems selling or buying parts and that was only my own dumb mistake of shipping out parts before I was paid, and then never ended up getting paid. But, that kind of thing is happening more and more on forums these days. And then once one person has a problem with something they bought, they go on blast and have 85 nut huggers swinging away before the other person has a chance to post. It's a drama filled site these days.

Now you have a guy like Brian that has hands down blew away any other vendor as far as production and reproduction of parts. He's selling to 1000's of people which means there's 1000's more of a chance of drama, more possibilities of mistakes, etc. You hear about the bad but never the good. I know quite a few vendors personally and I'm sure most of them would agree that it's not easy making people happy. That said, I feel for Brian. I don't agree with the Nasty Wendy situation and I feel it was his fault, I also couldn't believe that he brushed it off and didn't take care of him. I thought that was out of character. Then all of a sudden he gets arrested for something stupid and the whole site and facebook goes apeshit like they are watching their favorite soap opera. Too much drama and too many people in other peoples business these days....IMO.

^^^^^^^^Well said.

And about the Brian drama......

Only if you guys knew the real story about what happened. And what I've read on here is far from the truth on what happened.

It's none of my business to post what happened. Whatever happened, should have been a civil matter between the two parties......that's all I'm going to post about it.

I agree with you and the "nut huggers" on the site, I figured that I would have been blasted more for saying something about him. For me personally I think there are a bunch of good guys on the site. I have had several people help me out and only a small percentage of people that have flat out screwed me. I try my best to let people make good on transactions or whatever before I blast people because that really aint my style in general. Now fast forward to the Brian incident with getting arrested....... it was purely comedy for me. I would expect each and everyone of your guys to find humor if I got put in the slam, and in return I will laugh when it happens to others. I could care less or would never wish bad luck on the man.

In general, most of my transactions have been great with G Body in the past. I can say that over the years the level of service has deteriorated for me personally at G body parts........ but I gave it a pass due to personal events in his life (wife, etc). But when you read things such as the facts to Nasty Wendy story (I know there are 3 sides to every story), then some other small negative things, and then you hear sometime after that that he was arrested all this in edition to your personal dealings .......... of course you are going to be persuaded one way or another as the media will do on a daily basis that we accept. I personally have nothing against the man, and it would be great if he bounces back from all this and I wish him well. Although what Scot W. just said is very much the key here.

Just be happy we have vendors willing to supply parts for our cheap asses and big attitudes ... much more and we may find ourselves without the parts we need. I don't see many New vendors springing up... keep that in mind.

FOR SURE!!!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

so many of the dickwads have NO idea what really happened,
and to assume he said anything to the buick community is really ignorant!
more of the "nuthuggers" trying to bash! and failing!
why some of you hate him so much is YOUR problem, not the boards! or mine, or anyone else who is so screwed up to believe that sh!t.
I have spoken to Brian, and it is none of your business, and FAR from what is posted on the previous posts.
if he wants any of you to know what happened, he will tell you,
now please stop making a total a$$ of your self, by making false statements.

I've stayed away from this and the arrest thread so far, because I have no dog in the hunt. However, I really don't understand how anyone would find "humor" in the arrest and jailing of another.... even if I had a bone to pick with that person. I don't think I would wish that fate on anyone here on TB.com unless they had directly hurt or wronged me in some way that deserved such an outcome. I wasn't that guy and evidently, you weren't either.

You say you could care less about any of this. If that is so, why would you jump on a thread and laugh at another's misfortune, be it self-inflicted or not?

The way I see it, you're only adding fuel to a fire, a fire you have no true perspective on, you only have a "nut hugging opinion/perception" on it. The kind you agree isn't worth the bandwidth it's posted in.

Then you go on to "wish him well" when your own comments put you in a bit of an uncomfortable position with some others.

I guess I just don't understand why you felt the need to say anything, you certainly haven't contributed to anything, at all.

But that's just my opinion/perception, isn't it?

Ya' all have a good night.

Bought a set of gn1 valve covers from him very recently, great customer service as usual. He had them out the same day, period no exception. Told me if wanted me to have something to install on a winter weekend. Personally, I wouldn't deal with anybody that talked bad on my name ever....

I still resent the way he treated Clay (Nasty Wendy). It was NOT the right way to handle this situation.
It was so obvious that he shifted the blame to Clay......that was so hit below the belt.......

For that reason alone, I'll never buy from Brian again....period......true character came out, and Clay was the good guy in this situation.

Being arrested for this other problem just shows a person's true character......
