you have about 1/3 of the bottle filled with 77% alcohol, and you topped the rest of the bottle off with 99% alcohol? will that mess up the engine or something. just curious.

No. It will just raise the % alcohol in the bottle from 77% or reduces the 99% down.
Many of use use straight denatured all the time.

so itll met somewhere in between, like in the 80's %. so what does a higher % do? just cool down the incoming air even more?

SMC says to run 70-80 percent alchy. try it! If it bogs, move the activation point up, (if possible) advance the timing, or turn the pump speed down.

I hope you have a scan tool, or at least a knock detector..
