Is not about quantity but quality. Ive had some top notch stuff. Lots of 8's a couple 9's and one or two 10's. You settle for the 3's and 4's. You love that ghetto chit with 3 or 4 kids with non matching fathers. I wouldnt even use that chit as a slump buster:tongue:. The last thing id want to see is video evidence. The thought of that is damn scary.
8's, 9's and 10's.... Im not talken about time slips:p

Don't hate cause mine is FREE.... And I do love them hood rats....;) Oh im sure I have plenty of video evidence you would like. And we both know that to be true.

My 1rep max on the bench is 320, and that was in a competition style press(with a pause) I'm 22. Weight 151 and am only 5 foot 8. I can curl 135 2 times I can't not squat hardly nething. Maybe 300x5 times. Never been to a competion but from what the website says I would have the record for my age and weight class. Which would be 20-23yrs and 148-165lbs

i have never been to good at a one rep max for some reason i can do somewhat heavy weight for more reps... my best bench is 395.. but at the time i could bench 315 for 12 reps... my favorite is probably 225 for reps the most i have ever done was 31.. talk about burning lol... i think bison is right for over all strength the dead lift is first then probably squats next in my opinion... my best incline for one rep is 330... one rep squat 475 one rep dead lift i think right at 500 i never go that heavy any more though... into more cardio and being leaner now a day.. im 6foot2 230pounds with long ass arms and it does suck for bench pressing lol !!!!

bison you seem like a guy with a lot of knowledge... i always find it interesting to read anything you post or comment on! always straight forward and to the point ...

I agree. I always noted my weight with my bench. My all time best was 480 bench at 192 pounds. Now with kids, own business and wife. I weigh a lot more and bench less. But I started back up a few months ago. Mostly focused on weight loss and cardio for now. I do weights 3 times a week at lunch. But plan to start really pursuing it again once get rid of the gut. I did manage 405 twice a few weeks ago.

Damn....I always thought I was kind of strong, but that is some pound for pound gorilla type strength:)

Me Im 5'10" about 185lbs, I benched 335lbs a few years ago. I inclined 265lbs, and curled 155lbs 8 times. I never really lifted all that seriously, so I dont know my full potential. I always maxed on 4th set, never fresh, so my max probably should have been quite a bit more. I did this to prevent injuries. Didnt really work, as I always had some kind of small injury:) I did 265lbs on incline extremely easy, and never tried for more because of a small right shoulder injury from boxing. My incline was always really strong compared to my bench. Most peoples incline was way less than your bench. I could always incline about 90% of my bench, up until I got to the heavier weights, and my right shoulder felt it more, so I stopped. Never did squats, as I always had a weak left knee from playing basketball, and other sports. I am top heavy, but long, meaning I am not stocky. Most people think I weigh about 220lb when they see me in person. They dont realize that I have stick legs. I never took any kind of supplements, which nobody here has mentioned. Supplements have helped some of my friends out quite a bit. I still lift a little bit now, but I care more about getting in shape than how big I can get, and I am not that old. I am asian, which didnt help me out whatsoever, other than Ill probably live longer than most:D Bolo is about the only muscular asian out there. Deadlift would be my choice for overall most strength. Actually powercleans would be my choice but it is not an option.

I've always took a tree-like mentality to lifting based on confrontational usefulness. Solid roots. Strong trunk. Upper limbs that move well in their strength. That said, it would seem my legs are freakishly strong. It's pretty hard for a guy to appear impressive at 6'2 & 175 with a thin build, without going the power route. Knowing the challenge and limitations I've relied on agility and stamina instead. Don't wanna throw numbers out as they wouldn't represent current abilities. That's all that matters in the real world.

The guy I work out with sometimes calls me the siverback. I have the chicken legs too. But my squat was always decent, just cursed with no calves. I started lifting at a young age and went through phases of eating sleeping and living weightlifting, to just maintaining and stopping completely for 1 year when my first son was born.
I started wrestling in a youth program and lifting at a young age which gave me an advantage. By the time I was in highschool I wrestled 171 and maintained a bench around 315. By my junior year I managed 335 while doing the insane cardio for wrestling at 171 pounds.
The weird thing is as I get older it seems my strength comes back faster and stronger when I start lifting again. Right now I am having a terrible pain in my front right shoulder at the top of my bench thats hindering things. Up untill that point my bench, lat, deadlift strength was climbing fast.

I can bench 4 big macs or 12 white castle burgers.... I was forced to dead lift a fat chick once (thats when you lift her off before she smothers you right ;) ) Since then i only date skinny women....I squated when the 12 white castles came out the next day lmao...

Before the kids and wife.
415lb benchpress and I weighed 182
225lb for 27 reps.
545lb deadlift

I dont even want to bother posting what I can max bench lol not worth it.... I focus on PT more espically during the summer time when the training center's are in full swing. Just this year I managed to put on another 20 pounds to put me up to around 180 at 5 foot 10...

I wish I could bench more but thats never been a strength for me.

Maybe a state record in a small organization. Hit up a competition and put up the number.

Thanks. I try to post it like it is. No sense in beating around the bush. A lot of internet bull****ters out there.

Nope. I can assure you i dont want to see any videos with you or any other guys or farm animals in them. Wait till someone finds the videos and posts them on the internet:eek:

so no amateur power lifters here? anyone compete? I don't due to injuries :(

pops is insane, 70 years old, 181 pound class, benches 400+ like butter (countless city, county, state, national and world records). He used to compete in all 3 but as he got older strickly just benches now.

that wilks formula is somewhat accurate, I prefer it to use age as another variable to points because AGE is relevant imho, well when calculating for best lifter at least. Its not really fair when an old guy is competing against a young blood, but no matter my pops wins most of the time anyways. I guess its not really fair for the young bloods to compete for best lifter against real champions. Against guys who not only have countless records but they actually only break the old existing record by a few pounds so next year they can come back and break their own record again lol, thats NUTS!

This Wilks Value of 124.033 is for a Man with a body weight of 82.1 kgs and a lift amount of 407 Pounds. No gay music, no slapping in the face, no yelling, no roids needed. TECHNIQUE is the key, balance, focus, and centering your mind and body as 1 to complete your bench. Not getting pumped up like a meat head imho but of course, I weigh 155 and can't even bench the bar. But I have only lived with a world champ for 28 years of my life, what the f do I know.

Rudy Lozano will be @ the staples center for the Fit Expo coming up, and again he will be benching over 400 hopefully if he can stay healthy.

props to all CALM, dedicated powerlifters out there, its a very intense sport. but in that sport you quickly find out who wants it and who doesn't. I lost count how many "tuff guys" I sent to work out with my dad and they last a few weeks lol but most of them don't like the pain (which is needed). I can go on, they don't like the diet needed, the rest, the recovery ect ect. Its a BIG cylce and it has to be completed in order to get stronger the right way.

thats enough, have a great day lifters!
