Someone with original rear bumper fillers, have a question

There is a tan push retainer that joins the two sides in the middle. How far does the bumper go over the filler to cover the head of the retainer? I need to drill mine but want to get an idea first. I already tossed my old rotten ones, darn it.

How crazy is this, 28 people without original fillers or time to take a peek at their car and help a brother out viewed this thread. What are the odds?

I looked at mine this afternoon - about 1 inch of the bumper to the center of the retainer. hope that helps.
