At the burn out box and then this happens
Listen at the 8-9 second mark for the sound of a “a can with a bunch or loose bolts rattling in it"
At that point the car did not move back of front on its own power.
We pushed it out of the water box, then I tried to drive it again and it drove perfect in reverse for about 300 feet, I then put the car back into drive and drove it around the parking lot and it drove perfect.
BUT
When I pulled into my spot I shifted the car into Park then back into OD it made the sound and it went blank again.
Then I put the car back into park again then into reverse (no sound) moved the car about 5 feet then put it back into OD (no sound) and drove around the parking lot for about 5 minutes with no problems I did a bunch of stop and go's and I shifted from park to R to OD back to R back to P and bunch of times and no sound. At this point I loaded it up and drove it home doing 65Mph on the NJTP and it drove perfect.
What could it have been?
I did NOT get on it at all but I did drive it normally and even got the boost as high as Zero or 1-2 Psi.
Talk to me guys.

Pick ip tube fell out of the VB? or separated. If you heard noises, the pump may have crapped out...partially.

Can't say.

I know I give you H-ll about rinning B4black times but you broke something internal bud. Get hold of Chris at CKPerformance and he should be albe to help you. Since you're in Yankee territory he should be fairly close to you.

rip the trans out and take it to someone who KNOWS them. "OR" are you goin to fix it yourself  why do a 5 page thread and 2 months of posts when you can fix it in a few days ??

I am not going to touch it.
I am taking it to my Trans guy but he is out town for a week and just want to have an idea of what went wrong.

BTW I drove the car today (no boost) "just to see" and it feels perfect and no noise and it goes in gear fine.
At this point I will not drive it again but curiosity is killing me
.

its all good dude thats what friends do!!

Give me a call, I am 10 minutes from you now. I will be in Oceanside today.......

just put some 20w-50 in it. that fixes all our noises according to lots on this site - lol

Good idea
I'll try it in the morning and let you know how it goes.

I talked to my Trans guy (the guy that built it 12 years and two cars ago), He says it’s the TC.
So I am going to pull the Trans out and drop it off by him so that he can go over it and make sure nothing else "went", at the same time he is going to install an upgraded stator support.

You do know that was sarcasm...I guess it makes more sense based on the last post I read

If I knew what could be the problem, I would have been happy to be the one to offer help. I have built a 200-4r and still do not know why a trans lets go the way they do beyond the obvious troubles.

At least if it is just a converter you get the chance to try some other action - thru all my engine and trans problems - I am still using the same TC

Were the TC bolts loose on the flywheel when you went to tear everything down?

Happened to me and the sound was very similar.

I still haven't even looked at the car since it broke, and the way things are going its going to sit for a long time
Hopefully by mid Feb it will get done.

That stinks. I mentioned it cuz it took me 5 mins. to fix it once I got lots of suggestions from guys around here after I posted up and described the noise. Took the inspection plate off and viola..there they were..three loose TC bolts.

Anyway...I hope you find it to be something simple when the time comes.

Good luck.

Anything could be possible BUT I don't have that kind of "good luck" and I needed a reason to have it refreshed and buy a new converter. So I guess I got it now.

Ok the time is almost here for me to drop the trans.
i have seen some guys with Flexible trans cooler lines what are the Pros & Cons of using them?
My car is a DD that will hit the track a few times a year.
thanks
David
