I have seen a lot of cars with improper trim color, either too flat, too glossy, brown, grey. I was using DuPont satin black spray can available from any body shop supply that sells DuPont. For the past couple years I have been using SEM EZ Coat. It is made in typical factory primer colors to duplicate a factory finish underhood, trunks, etc where the factory barely gets color. The black is the perfect satin black and sprays smooth. I apply 3 coats letting them flash between coats, if it is still shiny in spots, it is still wet. It is a bit pricey, but matches. It is also good for painting the core support and inner fenders to freshen them up.

I think i have used the same product. Purple colored can that's is SEM's trim and molding black...not sure what the part # is off hand. About $20.00 per can.

Be sure to use SEMs black self setching primer first.

That's it. just curious as to why you use the self etch primer first....are you taking it down to bare metal? I've used epoxy in the past, might have done the same purpose i think. maybe this would work even better. Non the less it's the best product that i have came across also that matches the factory finish. I even use it on door handles. It's funny how most people don't pay attention to the details that you and i must see alot of. Glad you posted this for others to see. Thanks

By the way i watched the video of your car...man it's fast brother!
My bad it was not your car in the video....to much paint fumes...lol
