I did the same thing with the roof/a-pillar bar in 2 pieces, joining together at the dash bar. I have got some criticism on another forum for splitting the roof/a-pillar bar into 2 pieces instead of one continous bar from the main hoop to the floor.

As long as the chassis inspector doesn't criticize.
