You need a 3200 converter .... I had a stock longblock TE-60 50lb inj an best 60ft was 1.55 with mt DR's

if i put in a 3200 stall would i need a beefed up 2004r or will it be ok also what size converter stock size with 3200 stall or 10'' 9''???

If you used a .63 Garrett ex it would greatly improve the spool over any other housing.

I am not sure what a garrett te 60 has on ex side but i think its .63 its been over 5 years when i put turbo on i also have a 49 but its slower

Quite a difference between a Precision .63 housing and a Garrett .63 housing when you are using a D5. The Garrett will spool a lot easier. The TE60 and TE44 should have very similar spoolup.

MY precision was a .63 and with an art car it would scream off the line. i could build it to whatever the track could handel

omg i may not even have the correct turbo for my set up can someone tell me what turbo this is i know its garett because it says on intake side but maybe i am off on size

Most likely a Precision TA49. Not a Garrett since it has a Precision ex housing. It most likely started as a stock GN turbo and Precision made a TA49 out of it. WG hole is most likely too large. Id get a Garrett .63 on it. It will make a big diff

humm so i can buy 1/2 a turbo were would i get it any you guys have this to sell also looked like puck covered hole if you look close @ picture you can see out line of puck over hole

Bison is dead on with the housing stuff.
I have a stock set up (stock D5, Dutt neck-IC) with a TE-60.
When I first put on the TE-60 my car was a cow OFF the line I had no boost to about halfway on second gear So I took my Stock Garret exhaust housing from my OE turbo and had it machined to fit my TE-60 and it was a completely deferent animal. And actually made it fun to drive the car.

Check the "For Sale" section for a beat up Stock Turbo and use that.

I sent mines to Gpop shop. Great service and price.

The turbo is built for Maximum performance and that what their exhaust housing produces.
The smaller Garret housing helps stockers and tight TC spool it, but at the samet time it restricts it at higher performance levels built engines

It doesnt restrict much. The turbine and ex housing design together will become the restriction more so than the housing itself. Id bet it would lose less than 10hp in a 500hp application vs. a Precision .63.

That would actually be good news.
The Turbo Gods make it sound like -50 HP or worse.

ok money aside having this work done would give more low end power then a new style turbo/larger and a large stall tq converter i would just like to burn tires off the line with out using the breaks to spool up ;)

It will cause a quicker spoolup. There is often a lot to be gained with the tune as far as spoolup goes. Usually with a TE44/ Garrett.63 id roll out about 5 feet and blow the tires off. I had one with an art carr 9" and it spooled as fast as i could put my foot to the floor.

I may need a new chip 4 this if so is turbotweak the way to go that is what i have now but it over 5 years old thanks
