considering a turbo SBO build up, kind of curious as to what sort of power a pair of stock GN turbos could support/ what kind of boost levels could they maintain on a 350ish cid engine. They seem like a good cheap way to go about this, HP goals are around 500-550 hp at the wheels thru an intercooled set up.

I know this a broad question, but im just looking for a ballpark answer before i jump into the fine print of this build.

ooooh... I like... Turbo Olds... let's hear more. Are you using a diesel block?

quite possibly, its another bbo, a LS2 swap, or a lowbudget diesal block with twins. 330 crank chevy rods blow thru carb 2into1 front mount IC Not trying to do a fuel injected 8 second beast

stock GN turbos are good for around 350 hp.... maybe more depending on who you talk to..... so 2 of them might support 700 hp...

I was going to do a budget TT 383 at one point....looking for cheap readily available twins.... I ended up with a pair of 2000-2002 Powerstroke Diesel turbos... they are garrett... 4 bolt... support approx 500 hp ea.... anyway... scrapped the project before it got started.... bought my GN....

Good luck... and keep us posted...

Two good stock turbo's can support 600+hp. We did 400ish with one and a stock IC:eek:

You would save more time and money fabbing an exhaust for a single turbo and just buying a larger newer tech turbo.

Look at the article in Car Craft (nov.issue) on Marty's black Firebird with the chevy small block and two 87-GN turbo's on it. LOW 10's and 9.75 with a 75horse shot of NOS. Iv'e rode in this thing and it's a RIDE !!! I have a high 10sec. Gn myself but Marty's car is BAADDDD !! The car has since gone 9.38 with 2 TE-44's and a 75 shot of juice.
