Has any body used the modified neck on a stock intercooler?
Which intercooler do you think would best for my car
110,000 miles terry houstan downpipe hooker cat back system , no cat, stock converter rebuilt trans with shift kit 42 pound injectors and a chip for Red armstrong

with my chip on this small paper it says it will make 19 pounds of boost, Does that mean on pump gas or race gas

as a general rule, with each point of octane, you can go up one # of boost. 93octane,stock intercooler, 17-18psi. Depends on car, and weather. 100octane, 23psi boost. 116octane 30psi++
this is just an example, each car is different. Need to watch knock and 02, maby even egt. Some chips (race) add an extra amount of gas in car after the MAF is maxed out (255, or maby around 19-21psi). Race chips will run too rich with lower boost, and street chips will run too lean at higher boost. Tuning with a 7th injector, and or alchohol kit can be another way get around the boost/vs octane/vs chip. Write down what you learn along the way. Need a scan tool to help with data, and changes. Chip makers can only guess, it is up to you to verify tune and make changes.

You'll need more mods to run 19psi and pump gas without alky.
 
opps i forgot

I also have upgraded fuel pump an hard pipe and cone filter
which other mods would i need to run 19 pounds on pump gas i figuer i would a 7th inj which was recomended to me or alchol inj

on STRAIGHT 93 pump gas...you can't usually run over 17 psi of boost on a fairly stock setup...now when you add a front mount or PTE stock location intercooler, an efficient turbo such as the 61, and the correct fuel injectors...you can get pretty close to 20 psi of boost with no knock...it's all about the air temps going into the motor...now get a set of aluminum heads and you might be able to go as high as 22-23 psi of boost...just all depends on the car...

with alcohol injection, you can run as high as race gas...
