I bought a set of convo pro for the rear 15 x 8.5 3 3/8 bs. i have a stock long block 61 turbo, buying bigger injectors but 36's as of now. dut neck int. and 350 trans w/ a brake. should i buy the 26" or 28' slicks .
thanks

Go with 28.5x10.5x15 MT or Firestone, this will allow you to grow with your combo and not have to change slick sizes in the future.

Might have to roll your inner fender. With 3 5/16'' offset i seem to recall a perfect fit.......that was years ago when centerlines came with that offset.

You have to decide what your focus is going to be with your car, i would think with a transbrake and 350 trans you want to hook hard, so fenderrolling should not be an issue if needed.

No issues rolling the lip but just what to know if i will need to. should i consider the 28x9 or just go to the 10.5

I run the 29x9 MT's on mine with the same Convo Pro 15x8.5 with 3 3/8" back spacing and definitely had to roll the inner lip. I don't think the 10.5's will fit even with the rolled lip. I can get 1.5 foot brake 60' with them.

I have 28x9s MTs (actually) 27" tall-they fit real nice- no rubbing , no rolling the fender lip. you can also get phoenix in the 28.5x 10.5 size.

I gave you some bad info last nite. The 28x9 MT's will definitely clear. When I put 275-60-15 MT radials on I definitely had to roll the lip. Sorry about the wrong infomation.

I Have The Same M/t Drag Radials 275/60/15 And I Have Air Bags In The Rear ,i Just Inflate My Air Bags With Enough Air That They Dont Come Down On The Tires,no Problems

jetmech,
I have the same size & BS Convo Pros that you do, and have 28x11.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pros on them, and they don't rub at all, either on the frame or the quarter panel edge. Original springs and Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks that are in dire need of replacement. :) I have airbags in each spring, with only 5psi in each bag on the street. The rear end in my car is just a touch off-center, favoring the pass side by a little more than .125".

The QTP's definitely helped my launch (on the street), I could hold 12psi on the footbrake w/o a burnout. I'm betting I'll be able to hold 15psi at the line on the track.

thanks for the help, i will definitly go with a 28" inch tire. Either a 9" or 10.5 is what i need to decide. thanks
