stripped plenum bolt threads - need help

I stripped the threads on my intake where one of the plenum bolts go. Isn't there some type of 1/2 oversized bolt (maybe self tapping) that can be used in a case like this for repair? I'm trying to avoid pulling the plenum and using an insert in the intake.

try a longer bolt than the one that stripped out ..M8 x 1.25 is the thread pitch

Longer bolt often works. If not its a pretty easy heli-coil job.

I will pick up a longer bolt or maybe just install a stud with a nut tomorrow. Thanks.
