I'm trying to figure out what caused them to wreck. Granted, you can't tell to well on the video but it looks like they were going straight. I know it wasn't because of that powershift the kid did!

Once again, a fine example of what happens when you put a low performance car in the hands of a lower performance driver.

Whats wrong with you guys? Since when is someones misfortune funny? The kid could have flipped the car and killed himself with his passenger. Guys thats not funny. That could easily be one of our own childern. Don't tell me you guys never had a close call with any car you owned. And since when are we stereo typing people for the choice of cars they drive. We are all humans and the car you choose to drive is no different then the car somebody else chooses. Its all metal and wheels if you want to break it down, and they are all replaceable people are not. You guys can flame me all you want but you know i am right. ricers....WTF??? You guys sound like school kids not grown mature adults. You never know when bad luck is going to role your way, especailly since you guys are making ten times more power.

And the trueth of the story is the shifter broke when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear and got jammed in 2nd gear locking up his tires sending the car into a wicked spin. But i guess thats funny right

Funny? Yes (I don't want to see anybody hurt or killed and in this case they weren't so please stop with the coulda shoulda woulda crap)

Stupid? Yes (I don't feel I need to explain myself on this one cause if you watch the video and have half a brain you know those guys aren't the smartest bunch)!

Ricers? Yes (again just watch the video)

I am glad Darwinism didn't enter into this situation and I hope the guy driving learned his lesson(s)..... What's that old saying?

I guess the humor is in the fact no one was hurt and it was just showing how bone headed they were for racing on such a narrow road to start with. My first thought when they showed the road was just how close the left lane was to the power poles. Had someone actually been hurt, I really don't think there would be much laughter about it here. At least I would prefer to think not.

To clarify I do NOT want to see anybody get hurt or killed and obviously if that was the case in this video I would not have even posted it and certainly would not be laughing!

For the record, if this had been a video of a wreck and the cops had come to clean those kids off the road with a sponge and a straw then that would not be funny....but they're okay, so it's hilarious. Actually, the most hilarity comes from some stupid a$$hole sticking up for them and shunning us from laughing. Lastly, if ttypewhite thinks that if thinking other people's cars suck, then maybe he should get off of this pride-oriented site.

Yeah I honestly don't think anybody that posted in this thread so far would think it was funny had something really bad happened!
We are all human beings and as I said it is probably a good learning experience for this kid (some people have to learn the hard way, but as long as they learn it's all good in my book)!

And no i don't find it funny because we have all had close calls before and i know thge feeling when s h i t goes bad. it sucks plain and simple. Thats all. The ricer statement also gets me upset. I know this story because I have the same integra this guy has and he posted it on the integra board saying don't follow in my foot steps. This experience really humbled him. I own low 10sec street GN and a 450whp turbo integra that is daily driven aswell because my GN is my baby and gets driven when I get home from work. I drive a import not a rice mobile. Not many rice mobiles trap over 130mph in a 2600 pound car in full weight. just my 2 cents

I am glad to hear it humbled him, but I still think you are missing a point....... It was stupid to race on that road as he was and he obviously isn't the best driver as he thought he was! Of course he didn't intend for this to happen, but had he been smart enough to not race his car on that road it would have never happened in the first place!!! As far as the ricer statement based on how his car looks and how slow it is (doesn't look very fast at all) I'd call it a ricer...... It has nothing to do with it being an import cause I respect anything that is fast (I guess you haven't seen the video I posted of the 700whp turbo Civic on the dyno or the video I posted of John Sheppard's AWD DSM running 8.94 @158mph on DRs)..... I have seen many fast imports down here and on the 'net so I do respect the fast ones that aren't just riced out looking sh!tboxes!!!

And that accident is when he was doing it by himself (car that is) in the center lane after his run with the Prelude. Check the video again, there was lots of room for one car. His car is a modifed n/a vtec motor that runs 13.9 @ 102mph in that trim. I know its not a world beater but will beat some stock GN's @ Mustangs. Its like one of us going down the street with a buddy in our car and catch a flat tire while being full out. S h i t just happens. I am not flaming just giving another side to the story.

True sh!t does happen and 13.9 @102mph isn't bad for an NA 4 cylinder car...... I can understand where you're coming from

Thats when a parking lot full of rice drivers put money in a hat.
The guy with the hat drives to another spot and gets on his cell phone and tells were he is(10-20 miles away) The first one there gets the cash. Then when these dumb ass kids race through trafic 10 to 20 cars at a time and wreck the papers say it was drag racing I see them racing all the time in packs on the freeways cutting cars off and being punks. At least these guys were on a back road and not weaving through trafic
