Drove the Limited from storage right to inspection station.

Mechanic said you only drove 1k miles since last inspection.

YOU PASS $10 dollars. Didnt even go in the bay. :D I guess that is HASSLE FREE. I love NH

After you got your sticker you should have told him, "Actually it was 101K miles."

As much as CT SUCKS I'm surprised we don't have to do that.

im sure you know what a police state jersey is. they even lifted my hood and looked around. he asked if it was stock, and i said yea except for all the heavy chrome stuff. he was practically resting his hand on my alky pump!

Emissions every other year , exempt after 25 years, So if I did my math right I will not have to have the 86 GN, emissions inspected again.:D

But you do need a safety inspection if you transfer or buy a vehicle 25 years or older.

after 25 years NH saftey can be every 2 years for antiques. (I am not there yet)

No emissions pre 1996

I wish they were that easy here in Va. The inspection shop I take mine to is not there for a "safety" inspection, their goal is to inspect how deeply they can get into an unsuspecting person's pocket. The inspector is really cool, but he told me that he was told by the owners that they were in the repair business and were suppose to bring in repair business to the shop. He's been really straight up with me in the past and that's the only reason I've been going there for the past 10 years.

Isn't Northern (Yuppie) Virgina tougher than the rest. My friend moved to woodbridge & said it would be a hassle to own an older car in N virgina

I'm lucky, for now, because I live in Southeastern Va. no emissions testing. The inspector did tell me that when I brought my Expedition back that the gear selector pointer was off a little and would have to be repaired before he could inspect it next time. Is that a safety issue? Any fool knows that you bring the shifter down 3 clicks and that's drive. That's supposedly in the Virginia inspection code!!

It's good going to the same place over & over so they know you.

I once veered over to a MUNRO Muffler. They are told to meet company quotas. I asked why was the mechanic poking around under the hood of my daily driver. He said he was checking the serp belt. I said that is not in the NH inspection. He comes back saying we do it as an extra. YEAH to make MONEY. I am amazed at how these GIN MILLS get away telling people they need stuff that is not even in the books.
