My uncle has a source who provides him with movies almost as fast as they hit the theatre. He’s had this movie for quite a while and we finally got together and watched it last night. This was probably one of the best action movies I have ever seen. If you get a chance I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed. It’s rated “R” so keep that in mind.

yeah you kinda take it verbatim, its so full of non stop azz kicken it gets past the sillyness of him finding out everyone within 40 hrs

Whoa! He has an internet connection too?

I’m not that internet savvy, nor do I know anyone who can get movies such as he does. Can you provide more info on how it’s done? I’m not being smart, I’m really this ignorant.

But to stay on coarse it really was a great movie.

Seems like there are a lot of people who get those bootleg copies as soon as they come out. I had a bootleg copy of that movie as well when it came out. Quality was as good as any DVD. Excellent movie for sure.

Yea, I remember those. That was when people would record it in the movie. Now they look as good as a new release imo.

Just finished watching "knowing". Wow I get it know. The video and audio sucked in this one. No need to make a copy on that one.

Every Bootleg looks like crap, no matter where you get it. Now about watching a movie like Knowing, and movies like Knowing. It was shot on the RED with a 6k resolution. Any movie that's shot on the RED needs to be seen in master print on film, or its gonna look like crap because the digital information is way to much for TV, digital projectors, DVDs and HD DVDs.

C'mon man, most folks know that but not too many of us have a film projector in our house or a monitor capable of 1gazillion X 1trillion pixels. Film > *

Be very careful. The new admin in DC is trying to stop all this fast:eek:

Anyone whos ever worked in a theater lately knows how its done. Also those who work in the higher up ranks of big box stores as well. Think back to the term "payola".

I was given one of those copies with heads in the way during the early parts, of Rob Zombie's Devil's Rejects. The graininess and poor sound quality improved it! It watches like a badass home movie!

Wrong! Maybe u need a new source 4 ur movies cause DVD quality bootlegs have been out for years now. New DVD quality bootlegs are a dime a dozen these days. It's old news.

No, he's right. Real film on a high-end studio monitor will make you **** your pants. From that moment on not even Bluray will satisfy you. I watched about 20 minutes of "The Chronicles of Riddick" on a studio setup and almost fell out of my chair. I sincerely hope that consumer technology catches up one day, but if it ever does theatres will go extinct.

You're right in that regard as well. But one must understand that there are two different types of "film people". One type that acts like an elitist that rags on everything and knows everything about everything, and the other type that is a bit more down to Earth. I'm not saying that Carr is either of those because I've never met him. However, I can guarantee you that he knows exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm the type of "film person" thats been studying film and HD since I was 14. I'm 23 now and I'm about to gratulate top of my class from film school. Funny thing that the only type of school I can gratulate at top of my class is film school. And I'm far from anything elitist, I just take film and video very seriously. And I prefer to stick with film (besides the look of film) because of the vast range of options over HD. And the amount of technical sh&t with HD keeps changing almost overnight. The only HD camera that I like working with is the RED. Because its has a medium speed 320 ASA (ISO). Which the movie Knowing was shot on, which is the only reason I mentioned anything technical in this thread. I been watching bootleg DVDs since they came out, and the quality had very little improvement if any. DVDs in general can't handle something like what the RED produces because about 1 minute of RAW footage of a 4k RED is 1.6 gigs. And they are making a 50k brain for the RED camera in about 5 years that will be 65 gigs a minute. They say it will be higher quality then 65mm IMAX film. This is the first HD camera I'm considering in buying because of the possibilities it has, and it will never become out dated because you can always just take out the brain and put a newer brain into the camera. And the amount of Lens options you have. So I'm a pretty big supporter of anything that's shot on the RED.
