te-61 boost range

fellas, what amount of boost does the te-61 really come on at? i guess i'm looking for this turbo's sweet spot in psi. i've seen the boost charts for various turbos posted here but don't know how to read them and just need laymens terms.

Everything I have read suggests upper 20's for best boost.

24 psi mine really comes on, :biggrin: quite a bit differents from 22 psi

It will start cooking at around 24lbs and wont quit til mid-30+.

I run mine at 28# with 93 octane + alcohol.

Crank it up on a stock engine. 30PSI++.

I blew a head gasket at 25 psi! Haven't turned it up over 20 with new head gasket yet. It was a Felpro 1000 if anybody is interested.
