Is this turbo too big for my set up. Te45a Q trim.
dls ported irons/ intake, 212/212 tappet,60lb inj, forged .30. Stock crank/rods and everything else. Trying to get right for the summer . Mid to low 11's maybe high 10

How much boost you plan on running....that turbo sings at 25+ psi boost. Im no expert but I would think that with ported intake heads and a decent cam...you should be able to run easy mod/low 11's with that turbo without running upper 20+ psi.

So is that cam good enuff? Yeah I dont wana run too much boost cuz I dont have alky yet.what stall are u running

That turbo is way too much for your goals.

Its for sale with a thdp as a good deal.. Cant I use that and set it at a boost thats good for my combo and then turn it up as I add on.

You could but spool with that turbo will be so lazy on the street that you will find yourself hating your car. Id use that turbo if i had high 9's on my mind. It would take a lot to get that to respond decently on the street and the mass flow potential with it is about 45% more than you need to run your number. Ive got a PT54 (6069) that would better serve your needs but you still need a good converter to run it and have that nice response.

I run that turbo with a 3200 9x11 stall, no spool problems at all, and a smaller cam than yours. Spools pretty quickly actually. I think it mainly depends on your converter. Just turned it down to 26psi and it's still very strong.
