What is the "sweet spot" on a te60 turbo. How many lbs of boost can I run safely with 50lb injectors and alky?Check my sig for the other work done to the car.I have the stock converter on it now but will be installing an Art Carr 9" 3000 stall non-lockup converter soon. Thanks,AJ

Underboost on this board can answer your questions, his combo is very similar to yours.....

TE60 is a pretty darned stout turbo just like the TE44.

The sweet spot for that turbo is right at 23-26psi, and if the car is still rich turn it up, or lean out the fuel.

My buddy in a TTA went low low low 11s with the te60 and a lockup convertor, but lotsa boost  and low timing. Thats been about 6 years or so.

Thats a good turbo to use, wished i had mine still

my car runs a best of 10.61 @ 125 mph with a 1.44 60 ft. and 20 lbs of boost te 60,gn1's,msd 50s,roller cam,th400,and other basic mods

Te60

I'm running some 8th mile times tomorrow so I'll chime in when I get back. I won't be able to 60ft due to not having posi. I have a full weight car running Mickey Thompson 255 50 16s on a 16x8 GNX wheel. You can see my combo below.

WOW!!! Alky? Who's intercooler? NICE TIME!!!!!!

no alky just c116 octain race fuel. it's an old eastern performance front mount intercooler. biggest improvement was going from 2004r to the th400. right off trailer with no changes except trans the car went from 1.7 60 foots and 11.20's to 1.4's 60 foot and 10.80's. this is off the foot brake and emergency brake holding 16-18 lb launches.
