Question with my new motor sig built, how would the TE60 act with a larger exhaust housing say a .85 (currently has a garrett .63)?

Not positive but I think you gain up top lose a little down low. I beleive the genreal consensus is stick with the .63 if you drive it on the street. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :).

.82 housing

I have a .82 housing on mine, not sure if you can get a .85 .It will be for sale in the next couple of weeks.I bent some blades on the compressor wheel, only reason for getting rid of it.If you want one get back with me in a week or so.I already have the turbo sold, and I wont be needing the exhaust housing.I ran 11.0s @ 122mph,with all stock heads, intake, and everything else (super6) and I ported.I think it would have went into the 10s pretty easily before the damage was done.It may spool a little slower ,but then hold on.

vacum6,it's hit or miss on that pte.85.you have a good build but the 12 inch 2800 may not be up to the task.i think you should try the pte.63.it will be a little slower to spool compared to the garret.63 but pull stronger up top,the pte.85 i found really softens up the bottum end.it's one of those things you would have to try to know for sure,in my case i lost mph and et with the pte.85 on my 49 car and this was with a 10.5 inch 3200 stall lockup.i found with my car the pte.63 only went faster than the garret.63 with boost levels above 22psi.i hope this helps good luck
