I bought this turbo from a friend. It is not new... but still on a running car. It doesn't smoke.... but does have a minimal amount of shaft play. I figured it would be a good starter turbo. Currently my car is stock except for upgraded fuel pump and soon to be upgraded valve springs. I plan on complementing it with 60lb high impedance injectors, 3" THDP with test pipe, cold air kit, and a TurboTweak chip. I am trying to decide if I can hold off on the converter upgrade. What do you guys think? It suppossedly spools faster with the .63 housing...... dunno if it needs as much converter as a stock exhaust housing one or not.
Any thoughts?
Second stage of upgrades will include a RAZOR alcohol injection kit and turn up the boost some.
What kind of times should I expect with a full weight street car with decent traction? I guess I am hoping eventually for some mid 7's in the eighth.... mid 11's in the quarter......probably low 20's on boost (with alcohol inj kit).
What kind of times if I limit the boost to 15-16 lbs.....?
All of this on pump gas of course......
