Just saw some tests from a spring mfgr. They were saying that the tests they perform, to match springs in sets, shows that pieces from the same run, can be 14 to 16% different.:eek:
I'd think that since there are not many mfgrs of these products,[except for the Chinese junk], that most replacement springs we use, could be waaay out of "balance". That could make tuning a suspension a nitemare.:frown:
How about making a crude "test bench"??
Say a gauge installed in a hyd press cylinder. Measure the free length, then compress to various lengths, and see what the gauge tells you?? Sounds like a plan to me.:D
