Track opens at 7:00 am. Runs at 9:00. Last chance for me to get some tuning in before the WCN. This should put me at the same point in my tuneup that I was at when I went to the 2005 WCN. I hope that isn't a bad thing. :(

The forecast says maybe sprinkles or light rain this weekend. It's a dang conspiracy I tell you!!! First wind, then fire and now water. Arrrg!!!

Rain or not. I'll be there waiting for the sun to peak out.
Don,
You remind me of that golf commercial where two guys are waiting to play golf and there is basically a hurricane outside. One guy says to the other that it will be letting up and they will be playing golf shortly. Sorry I can't make it out there; I think Inland made a mistake on the drive shaft.
Jeff

Yea, that's me alright. Pitiful, isn't it. Actually, the track wasn't touched by the drizzle and it turned out to be a great day Saturday. Hope today turns out the same. Got the base fuel map dialed in finally. Started to throw the auxiliary fuel into the tune up by the end of yesterday. Problems to work out, of course. What's new. Nitrous waiting in the wings to be added to the tuneup next, hopefully today.

Sorry to hear about the driveshaft. Hope they can get it squared away for you quickly.

Not to hijack but did you get the 400 in Jeff??

Scott,
It is in and I am finishing it up today. Had some challenges with the shield but it is all good now. I heard from Lee that the XFI could trigger a CO2 shifter if I decide to go that way.
Jeff

Jeff,
Make sure your rev limiter is setup correctly. When that stocker HD intermediate sprag rolls over, the engine will want to take off. Too the moon, Alice.

Another good day at the track. Small crowd, so plenty of runs in.

So, what did it run Don? 5.xx??

Jeff, the C02 is easy to set up. I have a full 15lb bottle here at the shop if you decide to go that route and need a refill. If it were me I'd keep it non C02 and shift it manually(KISS), until after PHX. Reason is that if you lose traction and the rpm's come up to the rpm shift point...well you get the idea. If you really want to "get in to it", I know how to set it up without the traction issue being a problem.(wiring creativity):D What shield did you go with? CSR?

Scott,
I agree with you on not setting up the shifter before WCB. I have made too many changes already. The sheild is a CSR.

The timeslip was dismal without the nitrous. I have a video of one of the runs where both front tires popped up off the ground between the 60' and 330' mark. What a trip. That's when the aux fuel came in solid. Up to that point the car rolls out like a stocker. Not impressive at all. But, the mph keeps creeping upwards. Best so far is 7.602 @ 112 mph with a 330' time of 5.593 @ 82.539 mph. 60' on that run was 2.223. She's definitely making up a lot in the last 330'. I have a new idea for the fuel map again. Hundreds of wrong ways and only one right way.
