It's been 2-1/2 years since I took these out. I had a good friend tell me.... to bag them and mark them... I said.... nahh...

Well... see pic below....

I have numbered like groups.... please tell me where the bolts go. I believe #2 and #5 are intake bolts... and #1 is cam sensor hold down bolt....

I guess it could be... they are two different sizes.... didn't remember them all being studs...

#11 one of the front cover bolts near the oil filter?

#6 front cover bolt at the bottom where it holds the conduit.

I thought that might be it... but she is real long....the part that screws into the block.....

if they have the funky washer, they are for the exhaust manifolds.

can't see #12 very well, but might they be the bolts for the accelerator cable bracket to the upper plenum?

#8 might be another front cover bolt judging by what appears to be thread sealer.

#3 is the top exhaust studs, #4 Is bottom exhaust studs,#13 look like the top bolt for the alternator,#1 definatly cam hold down,#12 might be the bolts for the fuel pump blockoff plate.#2, and 5 look like the intake bolts. Thats all I got

#10 looks like a cam gear bolts to me.... has many tick marks.... like a grade 8 bolt.....

cam gear bolts had thick washers.

2 left- passenger side front intake bolt (hook bolts to it)
right-rear drivers side intake bolt (2nd from the back, holds egr solenoid)
3 upper header bolts
4 lower header bolts
5 lower intake bolts
6 driver's side bottom timong cover bolt (bottom of crank sensor and ic bracket)
7 can't see
8 other bolt that holds the crank sensor (second one up)
9 bottom bolt for J bracket to the head (also holds the ground wire from battery
10 top timing chain sprocket bolts
11 fuel pump blockoff plate
12 hard to tell, but look like oil pump pickup bolts
13 upper doghouse bolt w/ throttle cable bracket nut screwed on it

Dang... I'm impressed.

I'll be installing nearly all these bolts in the next few days....

I had a junkyard motor I tore down and used..... and some of the bolts seen in this pic were duplicated.... so they are already installed... however... all the ones in the pic came off the original GN motor...

I've thought for some time... that I might start work on a complete bolt picture ID with wrench size... thread size... diamter.....and length... with pictures... some of these bolts can go in differnet locations.... but they should be installed where they are supposed to go.......
