Got my parts I ordered today, teflon rings-bushings, vane rings, band anchor, sep. plate and adj. servo pin.
1.) a ? about the servo pin, I think you told me when we talked, you don't use the cushion spring, after seeing the pin I assume you don't and can't use a spring. I also assume a hard apply like that won't be a problem as I'm useing the wide alto band and anchor?
2.) Also wondering about a '89 CTF code trans? I seen in earlier posts you commented about them, one said "their nothing like a CZ" and another one you said " they are police special caprice....and would make a good core.... but not for GN......they are rare" Just wanted to know if you have personally been in to the vb's of one of these and how much different they are?
3.) I'm trying to find a good core or vb for a CZ in my '86 monte ss 'cuz someone before me stuck a OG vb (boooo!) in it. I have enough good hard parts I believe to build a strong trans: stronger input shaft, hardened stator, sun shell, 690 pump body w/10 vane pump chrome rings, alto red clutches throughout except ray. blue for direct, 4th clutch .070 piston 3 plate, wide alto band and anchor, billet servo and light weight gov.
4.) Would the CT vb okay or at least better than the OG for my monte w/385 hp, 410 posi, mid 13's, shifting bettween 5-5500 rpm? any help on these ?'s would be greatly appreciated.
