That blue regal is the sh*t. I love that thing. Its soo clean. I could do soo much to a regal to make it fast, but still remain hidden. Theyre soo easy to make fast. I love it. And big daddys car is quite a sleeper too. Though, those are turbo 'aluminum sport rims'. But it has a flat hood, so you'd never know. I love those older aluminum rims. But Im not sure you could fool anyone with blazes T. that car is mean lookin. It looks fast sittin still. All tubo T's with their stock rims look like muscle cars to me though.

With a flat hood and maybe the two spoke steering wheel, that thing would be a magazine quality sleeper. Also, GM made quite a few ugly 15X7 wheels over the years that you could put on to help traction without giving it away too bad. Nothing compared to the hubcaps but it would be nice to have the option of more traction with just a slight giveaway at times. I think the 82 GN/83 t-type wheel was 14X7. Eric Fisher could verify. Here's a crappy pic:

That wheel is a 14X6. Interestly Buick was the only division to use a 14X7" wheel. It was the polycast wheel from 80-85 on the Regal/RWD Century. All other G-body 14" wheels were 6" wide. Here is a pic of the wide polys. Now I did help a buddy of mine build a Malibu autocross sleeper and we used a 14X7" rally from an 80 Camaro on it. I handled a little better. It must have been the 50 series rubber. This was back in the 80's.

It's not the ultimate and it wasn't easy but most don't think it'll go 8.3's at 169:D

I could always put my factory wires back on it and cruise it around..

Dusty, how loud is it? You could put dual mufflers on each pipe and run an electric cutout and be silent or just like a stock vette then uncap it run 8's and be an awesome street car.

Big Daddy-- That's a killer pic! I love the faint "hint" in the rollbar that's barely visible through the quarterwindow! :)

Lonnie-- can you stop by and drop that engine into my car?? ;)

Blaze-- what a gorgeous Limited! I wish mine had the landau top, coach lamps and cornering lamps; however, the original owner of my car special ordered it as he wanted the light blue with no landau top, no rear defrost, plush Ltd pkg and G80.

Dusty-- :D

With regard to the exhaust--- the prior owner had a buddy of his at a muffler shop fabricate the exhaust a couple of years back using a 16" glasspack in front of the axle and a big 3" in/out Flomaster in the stock location, a setup I wouldn't choose if I were to try and recreate the wheel, so to speak. Even with this setup the idle is still a bit loud and could probably warrant a 3rd muffler where the gutted cat currently resides. But, it flows okay and gets the job done, plus the exhaust outlet was tucked up very nicely so you can barely see it. That, and the flashy mudguard and curb feeler tends to draw your eye away from it.

New Years resolution: flat hood in '07....;)

It get's your attention;)

It has a single magnaflow with 4 inch turndown at the passenger door so there's no sneaking around. I could run that into two 3.5 inch pipes and run 2 more muffs at the rear end but it just adds that much more weight. I'm already right at 200# heavy for my class so I left it as is. If I ever want to turn it into a true sleeper I'll make it quieter and put some different wheels on it.

Maybe we should contact Mickey Thompson to see about adding a white wall to their drag radial line up:D

Here's another sleeper that was at the 2006 GS Nationals. Don't know who owns it...

GOSH! These are some AWESOME rides you guys got! I now know my next goal. A factory TR sleeper!

Get rid of the adjustable fuel pressure regulator and I would have no clue.;)

I was just wondering how in the hell can you see an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with the hood closed ?

I'm glad that gutted cat went to good use! Awesome sleeper!

Drip Pan, thanks. I think what helps with the sleeper look is the heavy chrome trim & the other things you mentioned.
You know how alot of people still dont know what a GN is? More people have no idea what a Limited T is. They always ask if I did an engine swap.:frown:

Originally a 307,soon to have 383 SBC Single Turbo, after the TTA gets painted:biggrin:

14 in rims, feels like your swayying when you drive, also flat hood and the cleanest interior i have seen for a buick...
