Okay guys, summers done and the track is closed for the year time to start thinking about next year. Two things I am considering doing are... Pulling the engine to check things out (bearings) etc. Changing cam. I really want to get the heads ported and polished, Now question 1, How much trouble will I run into if I replace my HG?? How often will I be changing it from here on in??? Thanks in advance, Mike

I dont understand your question. You make it sound like it needs to be replaced in certain intervals, and it doesnt. Your head gaskets are as good as you treat your car. Too much boost, too lean, and detonation will be the determining factor as to how long they will last. You can go years without changing them. They only get replaced when they blow. And they only blow if you cause it to blow.

Sorry, did not mean to be unclear! That answers my question. I have heard over and over that once you change your original gaskets you will encounter nothing but problems. That is why I asked.
