Kinda jumping in here, I've been thinking of changing my interior color. Whats the process to do this? Cleaning, prep, ect..

Clean
Apply Sand Free (it's a surface prep that desolves the surface slightly to give the dye some tooth)

Dye in Light coats until done.

Thanks! Sounds pretty simple.I think Im going to go to burgandy or some shade of red.

I used the GBodyParts rattle can paint to spray the NOS dash top plate that I recently bought. It came out very nice and dried really fast, but I had to redo it because the rag that I first used to wipe it down with wax & grease remover left some lint behind........

The Devil is in the details as they say. If you keep it clean it will last and be fine.

The hardest thing to do will be the vinyl, because it can't be sanded for bite. If you had an old dash from somewhere you could practice.

Thought this was going to be a cheap project:rolleyes: I guess I should ask around and see if I can find someone that has one.

Your local paint store that will be matching and mixing you SEM paint should be able to sell you an inexpensive aerosol powered jar for less than $20.00. You just pour your interior paint into the glass jar, screw the aerosol top and your ready to spray. I recently installed new interior in my '67 GS. They matched the interior paint and I bought the aerosol spray jar set-up & it worked great.
