could a bad cam button cause an intermittent ticking sound?
My 87 GN started ticking and it sounds like it is tied to rpm's. when the revs go up, the ticking goes up also. I took it to my mechanic and he thinks it's a bad cam button. I just don't want to spend $$$$$ to get that far into the engine and that not be the problem.
It is defianetly setting off the knock sensor.I can only get 10 psi now.
