i noticed at a light tonight that ive got a "tick-tock" noise comeing from what sounds like the valves, injectors or possabily the turn signle silionoid. when ever it ticks the lights slightly dim so im thinking something electrial, is it possable for a bad injector to slightly drain some power and dim the lights? what do you all think it could be?

Have you lifted the hood and tried to narrow down the noise? Get a stethascope, piece of wood, something to amplify the noise. That should help a little.

a tick-tock would sound like a turn signal flasher, especially if your lights dim with the tick. My car does this.

If it were your engine, say, lifters, it would be a tick-tick-tick-tick, not a alternating tick-tock-tick-tock with a battery draw.

injectors always seem to sound more like a buzz all together, even at idle, because they tick so frequently. kinda more like a noisy chain on a timing set.

the electrical draw gives it away as being something electrical, and injectors dont draw that much amperage so id look elsewhere.

just called the flasher, should have said that instead sorry. its under the dash on my car, mine is yellow.

about a buck or two, just go pick one up at the parts store and see. they are pretty much universal, and the one you get to replace yours may sound different(louder or quieter) than the original.

Have a friend who just took his in to a mechanic, 23 bucks to replace it. what a waste.
