What is the best timing cover gasket everyone is using. Thought I remember hearing bad things about the felpro one. Search didn't turn up any good info. Does auto zone sell a Victor kit? Also do you guys loctite the timing gear bolts and rocker shaft bolts? Red or blue?

GM part #25536785 is what I used to replace the felpro that eventually leaked. I believe they've been discontinued but Gbodyparts still has them.

Every timing cover I send out has a FelPro glued to it. I haven't heard of one leaking yet. the kit is TCS45030 if you need one.

It is thicker than the GM gasket so if you're running a roller cam with solid shims it'll need to be reset.

Thanks for the replys. Just a stock cam. Guess I'll go felpro. Is the front crank seal in that kit good? I had my cover decked on the back so its nice and flat. Red loctite on the gear bolts, got it. Should I put it on the rocker shaft bolts too, or no one does?
