Tire shopping ,.. 275-50-15 on stock 86 GN wheels? 255-60-15 the limit?

Cooper Cobra 295/50's and 235/60's

So if 295's are 2 1/2 miller lites wide, how many wide are 255's?

Depends on the brand. My 295 Cooper Cobras are right at the same width as the BFG 275's I removed.

The 295, 275 etc is sidewall width. Look at Summit and the MT drag radials 275/50 and 275/50...check the tread width

I just put the Mickey Thompson ET SS 275/50/15 and they look fine on my stock rims and are just a little taller than my BFG's but I have had to get some spacers . They rub on the inside just a little . I got 1/4 " spacers
