I'm with you. Thats what i ended up doing and theyre holding so far. Its a damn shame having to use 6 gaskets to seal up 2 slip joint fittings. No quality control anymore. Im tired of buying junk.

I used the gel pro in the pic worked great. Now need the Percy baskets for the headers. I bought new v bands from a company I think is call Columbia river. I bought cheaper obx v bands seem a narroweor on the band it self. Big price difference. I used a 2 1/2 clamp.

One thing to check. Make sure the inner sleeve is not hitting the shoulder inside the mating flange. I remember working on a car and having to trim some off to get the flat part of the flanges to come completely together.
