It's time for tires for the rear of the GN. I loved the look of the 275/50/15 BFG T/A's but they don't make them anymore and no one makes that size except for in DR's. I'm afraid 295/50 will be to wide and 275/60 will look to tall and narrow. I would run the DR's but I'm not sure how long they will last on the street. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have 15 x 8" w/ 3.5 BS Draglites.

275/60/15 is a perfect size tire i have been running that on one of my gn's for a while. I do have it on a 10" rim now but i did have 8" rim before

I have a brand new set of BFGs Drag Radials 275x60x15 for sale with the stickers still on them for $325. shipped if you want them- Matt 347-680-8642.

Snowbird, I dont know the back spacing that i have but its perfect! If you can tell me how to measure it i will.

Looking back when I had 275/50's on my car, they were a little on the short side. I truly like much better a 275/60 and they fit very well. They are almost 2" taller and look better in the wheel well. Look at the pics from a wheel for sale post that I had a while back to see how they look differently. Both were 8" wheels.

The star set has the 50's and the Saharas have 60's on them. They are less than an inch difference of tread on the ground. If you go with a better tire, it will not matter.

It is marked on the inside of the rim...Do a search on the net ..wheel back space..THANKS

I just posted about this. If you have 235/60/15 in the front, what should you run in the back to match the look? 275/60/15? I dont mind running a spacer so the wheels dont rub. I just want it to look right. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah. All stock wheels.

I run 215/60/15 on the fronts and 275/60/15 on rears. It has a nice look and not to skinny to skid through a stop light:eek: For my other car i put 235/60/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear [mounted on stock rims] to keep the factory look. And for attention grabbers:cool: i put 245/35/20 on front and 255/35/20 on rear but dont plan on racing another buick you won't hook up! Mustangs and Vette's will get a couple cars ahead then before they know it you blow by them

I want to keep the same stance/brand I have but add drag radials to the rear. I have BF Goodrich 235/60/15 on the front. Which tire would have the same height for the rear? 275/50/15 or 275/60/15?

Any pics of your car with the 235/60/15 on the front and the 255/60/15 on the rear with stock rims?

I think the 275/50/15 would be close to the same height as the 235's. I dont have any pictures but later this week im gonna put stock wheels back on to sell the car so i will take some pictures and post them.

I have had MT drag radials on my car for a little over 5 years now and they are on the car 24/7. Still have over half the tread left and I have raced it up until the last 2 years. My wheels are Vector 8.5" so that is just a bit wider than the 8's you are asking about. My tires are the 275/50/15 and they measure out almost exactly 26" high. Same height as the 215/65/15's on the front.

GNeric, what is the backspace of those Vector 8.5" wheels? Any spacers?
