hay guys need some feedback , should i cut out the holes for the GNX louvers? or should i leave it alone  , mind you i'm dropping in a 9-to 10 second engine in her , would that help reduce the heat under the hood?
if some of you did place the louvers on could you please post a pic

this is a hard one  ,

thanks in advance;)

IMHO, it would depend on the overall condition of the car. If you know you will never try to restore it back to show room condition and your only plans are to enjoy the car and race her, then I'd say go for it. I've thought about the vents myself over the years. They only look good on some cars tho from what I've seen. Here's some other tips if you don't want to cut the fenders but want to move hot underhood heat out. When at the track, remove the rear cowl area rubber seal. This is not perfect, but it does make a difference at speed, at least I have seen a 25* drop on the MAT sensor at speeds over 100. MAT sensor in K&N cone. Others have done the old school mod and adjusted the rear hood bumpers up and the front hood bumpers down so that the hood pops up slightly and has a slight rake to it when closed. This is kinda extreme tho. Some people like the vents, others don't. I really like them when combined with the fender flares myself.
Just my O2's worth.

good info, thanks pat your right it does look better with the gnx wheel flares?

Lucerne fender vents...GREAT IDEA!

"Big Daddy", I really like the look of those Lucerne vents!...However, how would they look on an all-black car?...Maybe someone could powder-coat them black?...or just paint them?...
I've always been tempted to put some GNX-style vents on my GN, but now that I've seen these, it makes me wonder if they require as much fender cutting as the GNX-style kind that several vendors offer? Maybe these are just stuck-on for appearance, I don't know, but you can be sure that I'll pay attention next time I see a Lucerne! :D
Thanks,

Claude

P.S: You wouldn't happen to have more detailed, larger or maybe closer pictures of that T-Type with the Lucerne vents?

thanks for the feedback guys i decided not to cut her up, if i would have i would have had to add the gnx louvers, thanks again guys i feel i would have been left with something i would'nt have been happy with:smile:
