The conversion is complete.... For now I left it bare aluminum but I'm leaning towards painting it mat black. I just seems to stand out a little much. Agree?
Yes, I had the same with my car. The aluminum behind the grill had everyone staring at it as I drove down the road, including those I didn't want to take notice. Dropped the FMIC out, cleaned it, and misted it in flat black. Re-installed and no more stares.
There aren't any other factory cars with shinny silver aluminum behind the grill. So it does stand out. Also, IIRC, flat black radiates heat better then a plain aluminum finish, so it's a win-win.
Nice work on the front bumper air openings. I also placed a stock N/A air dam on the radiator support to push more air up and through.
