I am getting ready to put a 30 spline eaton posi (19559) in my we4. Along with the posi, I am upgrading to some performance aftermarket 30 spline axles (keeping my c-clips). My brother has been running Toms Kick A$$ Axles out of Idaho in his 10 second GN for years. My question is...has anyone else had any dealings with these axles?

Yea I know. I guess I'm getting at how they compare to moser and strange. Did a little research and the V8 guys use them alot, but just wondering how the TB people that run them like them.

I have had them in my 4500 pound big block Monte Carlo for over 10 years now.
He worked for Moser or Strange I dont remember which one and then branched out on his own.
They are very nice axles.

Im going to order a set and try them. My brothers have held up for years with excellent 60' times and the big block guys run them so they must be good quality axles. I was just looking to try something different then the normal moser and strange axles.

I'm not sure of an email address. All you got to do is put a search in on the net. He has a website with phone numbers, parts catalogs, etc.

What axles are you guys running with the 30 spline eaton posi units? I just got off the phone with Tom, and he said that his 30 spline axles would need the axle button cut down in order to fit with the 30 spline posi in the 8.5 rear end. However, he said that his 28 splines would fit with no mods with a 28 spline eaton or stock posi because they were made for that rearend. Has anyone dealt with this? I really was wanting to go with 30 spline, because I am buying a posi and axles so it just makes sense.

Yes, the button needing to be cut down is normal. They are 12-bolt axles. Which run a thicker button on the c-clip end. I didn't use Tom's axles, but have Moser's in a 8.5" 10-bolt rear. The assembler did the mod as I purchased a complete ready-to-go bolt-in housing/differential.

If going with a new carrier, definitely get the 30-spine axles. Tom's may/should be able to cut the button end down for you.

It makes since. Do the Moser's have to be took down also? I would rather buy an axle ready to slide in. I just hate to take it down and take away from the meat between the c-clip and the end of the axle.

I believe that they did need to be trimmed. It isn't much that is taken off.
