SignUp Now!so what do you consider the minimums for chassis mods to make it stable at the higher speeds?I would assume good sway bars, shocks, better springs with around a 2in drop, and some bigger wheels with low profile/speed rated rubber. The Chassis is fine. With Very few mods, the frame/suspension will go as fast as you want to go. I probably have gone over 700 miles over 150 mph in my 1986 2+2 and its the same steering, suspension, etc. in a GN.
As delivered, a GN wasn't designed to go over 124 mph, so if you want to, you'll have to mod it.
The 1989 TTA holds the record for being the "fastest Production car in the world" @ 299 mph. Sure it was modded, but the body was still stock.

Front end lift can be bad above 130 mph, and shorter spings in front than in back helps keep the nose down. A front mount with a full core support air dam helps keep the nose down vs. the stock setup, too.
160 street racing? I have nothing to add.
