I just Had my tranny rebuilt. When I drive in the city 90% of the time the tranny shifts normal threw all gears. But when I get on the highway I can feel the tranny lock-up and shift smoothly threw all gears. The problem I am having is when I get off the highway, the motor revs up and the transmission seems as if it's not downshifting or converter is not unlocking or something.
When I take off it feels like it jumped from 1st to 3rd or 4rt like You go from 1st to 4th with a stick shift and you get that clatter sound. Have to push pedal all the way down, then goes to first again. Could the TCC switch be bad. It only does it some of the time. I have taken back to tranny shop, gone threw the valve body, etc. The converter is a Vigalante 3500 9.5'' 5 disc lock-up.
