Hey Guys,

I just got my Lonnie Diers Stage2 transmission and will be having it installed today. Lonnie is currently on vacation and will be out of pocket until 18 Nov. I tried calling several times, no answer and have also done a search

Couple questions for the PRO's/OR Lonnie Diers Transmission users.

1. What fluid is recommended? How many quarts?

2. Is their a specific break-in procedure that has to be done?

3. Thank you in anvance:wink:

I just got one from him as well and he said to use Type F fluid and let it do 1-2 shifts daily driving for 20-30 miles and then let her rip assuming it's shifting where it should be. :) If you went with a new lockup converter too then Jack at precision says to let his converters lock up a bunch of times daily driving to break in the clutches and you're set.

Thanks!

Great, thank you very much for the quick response:cool:

I will be using my Vigalente lockup convertor and will do as you say.

How may quarts did ya use? I still have the stock tranny pan, for right now.

For what its worth I was told to manually shift the car from 1-2-3-4 and also downshift for 50 miles to break it in.

I like to

Manual shift up and down through the gears while still on jack stands. The more the better. Continue to check fluid level untill full when hot. If still the stock pan overfill by atleast .5 qt. Let it shift without a load (boost) for the first 100 mile. Stop and go traffic is best. Lonnie builds a great trans. He has probably forgot more than I will ever learn.

I think in the beginning stages this seems like the best way too do it. I should have it ready to go by this Fri, then let the break-in time commence:cool:

Thanks you all for your advice!
