Trans problems

i have a 1980 camaro with a 383 2004r and 3,42 gear I recently installed a ck performance shift kit.. the trans has a CZ8 valve body , governor and stock converter ... i drove my car about 60 miles today and the more i drove it the harder it shifted both up and down... it up shifts at about 3000 rpms and downshifts 3-2 at 20 mph 1200rpms and 2-1 at 5mph almost stalling the engine. I am using a bowtie overdrives throttle valve system which i have backed the cable off a couple of clicks until i lost the 2-1 and then tightened it until i got that back.. the shifts are softer but the shift timing still needs work,,, any ideas?

i can press the brake pedal and feel the tcc disengage and rpms go up
